Hi, I'm Chris, from Kansas City, Missouri.

At 18, I joined the Army and spent three years stationed in Germany, in a small town just above the Rhine River. I sure didn't appreciate it at the time. But five days a week, our formation runs wound through vineyards stretching as far as the eye could see, and the views took my breath away (literally, on those uphill miles).

That's where the travel bug bit. Germany showed me there was a whole other world out there beyond anything I'd been exposed to, and I've been chasing it ever since, from Prague to Istanbul to Machu Picchu.

I'd consider myself a total foodie. Wherever I land, I'm hunting down amazing restaurants and the hidden gems only locals know about. And yes, I have a sushi addiction. I've accepted it. My wallet has not.
